Ingredients
- ยฝ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ยผ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can (21 oz) lemon pie filling
- Optional: powdered sugar and lemon zest for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). - Melt the Butter:
Place the butter in a 9×9-inch baking dish and put it in the oven while it preheats. Allow the butter to melt completely. Remove once melted. - Mix the Batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. - Layer the Ingredients (No Stirring!):
Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish โ do not stir.
