Theories and Speculation
Whenever people encounter an unfamiliar object, they naturally begin forming theories. Our minds are wired to search for explanations, especially when something appears unusual.
I considered several possibilities. Perhaps it was a specialty woodworking tool. Maybe it was used in farming, mechanical repair, or metalworking. Given its durable construction, it seemed likely that it had once played an important role in someone’s daily work.
Yet none of my guesses felt entirely correct.
The tool’s shape suggested a practical function, but without context, its purpose remained difficult to identify. It was a reminder of how quickly everyday knowledge can fade as technology and working methods change.
Eventually, I decided to ask the person most likely to know the answer.
